TT2 Charity Events
Saturday 20th August 1.00pm – 5.00pm
TT2 staff will be out at the Tyne Tunnel toll plaza with collection buckets, collecting spare change for our Charity of the Year, the Great North Children’s Hospital.
Previous toll plaza collections have helped us raise £1000s for charity, and we would like to thank our very generous customers who always give so kindly towards our Charity of the Year collections.
Charity of the Year 2011
TT2 is delighted to support the Great North Children’s Hospital (GNCH) during 2011, as our staff-nominated Charity of the Year.
The GNCH deliver children’s services across the whole of the Northern region, and receive referrals from many other hospitals, locally and nationally, who do not have the necessary expertise to treat complex conditions. They are renowned internationally for some of their services, one in particular is the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (often referred to as the “Bubble Unit”). It is one of only two in the country providing highly specialised care for children. You can read more about this worthwhile cause via the below link.
TT2 staff are raising funds for this worthy cause in a number of ways during 2011 including through participation in the Bupa Gateshead 10K run, the 5 Mile GNCH Walk in the Park, and the Bupa Great North Run.
Other fundraising events will be taking place during the year including a toll plaza charity collection on Saturday 20th August.
If you would like to support our efforts to bring in much needed funds for the GNCH please feel free to provide an online donation through our Just Giving page:
We are also happy to accept cheques or cash for our Charity of the Year. Cheques should be made payable to “TT2 Limited”, and contributions will then be transferred to our charity fund.
