At TT2, we have linked up with Age Concern to run a series of technology sessions to help the elderly community with IT, including how to use a tablet, create an email address, use apps for video calls, shop online and use the TT2 website.
Our Chief Executive at TT2, Philip Smith, said: “We’re pleased that the technology sessions have been so well-attended and received. Keeping a pace with how to operate in the online world is important for everyone, no matter what your age.”
Age Concern is a charity based in South Shields, assisting people over the age of 50 all over the borough of South Tyneside. The charity “provide services and activities which maintain older people’s choice and control, improve well-being and enable healthier and happier ageing.”
There are many ways you can get involved in order to support the charity including donating to help the charity continue what they do, becoming a volunteer to help deliver the services, activities and events that the charity have to offer, raise funds and more.
