As part of our nominations based monthly core values award, in which staff members can nominate their team members & reflect on good work, the winner can choose a charity of their choice to donate £200 to. This month, the winner chose to support the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter.
The charity was established in 1896 and helps provide aid to thousands of animals every year that are lost, neglected, abused and abandoned. They also reunite animals with their owners, and can find new caring homes if they are no longer wanted. The charity has shelters based on Claremont Road and Benton North Farm, covering a wide area of the North East region.
In our 12 days of giving during Christmas 2022, we supported the charity by donating £1,000 to help with their heating costs and the Warm Paws Appeals. The support continues this month in addition to our core values donation by staff fundraising and donating a hamper to be raffled at their Pup-up Party Fundraiser event.
The event that took place this month was a fundraiser to support the charity in the fantastic work they do, participate in fun activities, see the dog show and enjoy delicious treats.
