About this career opportunity

You will be gaining work experience as part of our Support Services team whilst studying for a Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification. You will receive practical on the job training and mentoring to fully support your learning and progress towards completing your qualification.

The role is varied and interesting, working alongside our friendly Support Services team you will perform first-line technical support, maintain hardware and user accounts, and assist with cyber security and IT improvement initiatives.

Safety

At TT2 Safety to Customers and Employees is of paramount importance. At all times you will be expected to adhere to all Company Safety policies as instructed.

You will be attending training throughout your apprenticeship to ensure you are fully equipped to perform the role. This will include H&S training as well as Personal Development.

Terms

The start date for this apprenticeship is July 2026. This is a fixed term appointment to run concurrently with your apprenticeship and the typical duration to Gateway is 17-months.

  • Live instructor sessions with the training provider – 17 days.
  • This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week based in our Wallsend office. The office hours are Monday to Thursday 08.30 – 16.30 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 08.30 – 16.00 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Entry Requirements

3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.

GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).

Salary

In year one your salary will be £16,606.00 per annum which meets apprenticeship minimum wage and is subject to an annual pay award.

From Year two your salary will be reviewed in line with Government entitlements.
