Apprenticeship Success – James, Data Analyst

This week is National Apprenticeship Week 2021!

At TT2 we have been committed to providing apprenticeships for over 15 years, for people to construct their career paths as well as providing a hands-on approach to developing the skills and experience needed for their industry. Our latest apprenticeship success story is from now full-time member of staff, James. James started at TT2 with QA Apprenticeships in June 2019 with 18 months of training and finished in February 2021.

The training side of the apprenticeship proved to be valuable for James.

“QA has given the background and the overall vision of a data analyst role.”

QA Apprenticeships have supported James throughout his 18 months of training, giving him options and approaches to take his learning into the workplace.

“QA allows you to experiment within the workplace to see what fits best to get the job done.”

James’ role at TT2 is varied from providing crucial data to help and back up decisions by the managers and CEO to providing cutting edge reporting to ensure the organisation is informed as well as stakeholders, clients and shareholders. Here’s what James had to say about going forward in his fulltime role at TT2.

“It gives me more motivation and better initiative to make more decisions for myself and opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills.” After 18 months of experience learning through an apprenticeship, here is James’ advice for those thinking about an apprenticeship.

“Apprenticeships are hard but don’t let that put you off. If you enjoy the workplace then you will get the support and help needed.

“Apprenticeships aren’t what they used to be, they have improved significantly and are giving more opportunities to people no matter what age, gender or ethnicity you are. There is an apprenticeship for everyone.

“It was the best decision I made in my life so don’t be scared of change. Apprenticeships are a job; you won’t get treated like an “apprentice” you get treated like a full-time permanent staff.”

James is now employed as a fulltime Data Analyst for TT2 and continues to aid in us being able to reach our goals and objectives. James says he’s over the moon to get the role.

“Shows my work has paid off and knows I’m doing something right.

“It’s best feeling in the world to know I’ve got a level 4 qualification and to be a fully qualified Data Analyst.”

Current apprentices at TT2 vary in roles from Marketing, Project Administration and Finance.

If you think an apprenticeship is right for you and are thinking of Data Analysis, we are hiring for a new Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship working alongside James.
