In celebration of the launch of Tyne Tunnels all-new EV operational fleet, which will replace the diesel vehicles for a more environmentally-friendly alternative, we are giving local school children the opportunity to name each of the three vehicles.
The winner of the competition, will see their vehicle name printed on our new operational fleet. Their vehicle design will be displayed on the wall in the iconic TT2 tower and on social media. We will provide a drawing of the vehicle, which can be coloured in by the children, with a name that best suits their vehicle design.
We will also provide Tyne Tunnel school books which details the past, present and future of the iconic Tyne Tunnels for reference.
The design should feature something that represents the environment and can include your favourite place to visit in the North East and what the Tyne Tunnels means to you! The deadline for all submissions is April 30th 2023, and we will announce our lucky winners in early May.
