This July, Brysons Animal Shelter held their annual fun dog show! This is an event where everyone is welcome, with all funds going towards helping this fantastic charity.
In 1947, the shelter was founded by the late Bill and Marion Bryson. They provided a sanctuary and a home of rest to ponies and horses who were retired and ill-treated. Over the years as their grounds expanded, it became a shelter for more animals including small animals, cats and dogs.
The charity has a dedicated team that provides care for the animals including finding suitable homes for them, providing care & love during the animals stay at Brysons as well providing medical attention and vet checks.
The charity needs support from donations and volunteers to help keep the charity sustainable as it has been over the last 70+ years. Monetary donations can be made, volunteers can join to help, assist with organsing fundraising events, and even take the dogs on walks and spend time with cats at the shelter.
One of these events includes the annual dog show and with us at TT2 being huge dog lovers, we are proud to have sponsored this year’s event! All dogs are welcome and there are a mix of classes to suit all dogs. Entry was just £1 per dog to enter them into the competition for a chance to go home with a rosette or trophy. We handed out TT2 orange & blue themed dog treats too!
An amazing £828 was raised on the day which will aid in Brysons helping more animals in need.
