National Apprenticeship Week 2022

7th-13th February marks National Apprenticeship Week 2022!

At TT2 we have been committed to providing apprenticeships for over 16 years, for people to construct their career paths as well as providing a hands-on approach to developing the skills and experience needed for their industry.

TT2 currently have apprentices within Marketing, Project Management, Business Administration, IT, HR, Data Analysis and Finance.

We also have apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeship and are now full-time members of staff.

Data Analyst – James

Data Analyst, James, started at TT2 with QA Apprenticeships in June 2019 with 18 months of training and finished in February 2021.

“QA has given the background and the overall vision of a data analyst role.”

“QA allows you to experiment within the workplace to see what fits best to get the job done.”

James’ role at TT2 is varied from providing crucial data to help and back up decisions by the managers and CEO to providing cutting edge reporting to ensure the organisation is informed as well as stakeholders, clients and shareholders.

“Apprenticeships aren’t what they used to be, they have improved significantly and are giving more opportunities to people no matter what age, gender or ethnicity you are. There is an apprenticeship for everyone.”

Marketing Assistant – Thomas

Thomas started as a Digital Marketing Apprentice with QA Apprenticeships in September 2020, finishing his training in December 2021 and is now a full-time Marketing Assistant.

“I really enjoyed my apprenticeship. I was lucky to be involved in the Tyne Pass project and it was a great learning experience.”

“I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do with my career, but the Digital Marketing apprenticeship was very diverse going into many aspects of marketing and allowed me to gain a lot of experience in social media, email marketing, graphic design, paid advertising, managing our website/ app CMS systems and more. This really helped shape the areas of marketing I’d like to progress further with in my career.”

“I’m glad to be continuing my career with TT2 and learning new things every day.”

“My apprenticeship has been so much more than I thought it would be. I’ve held a lot of responsibility throughout my time here.”

Digital Marketing Apprentice – Megan

Megan began her Digital Marketing Apprenticeship in October 2021, finishing in January 2023.

“I chose the Digital Marketing Level 3 apprenticeship after going through the conventional route of University and realising that route wasn’t for me.”

“I became interested in the social media side of Digital Marketing because the role is always evolving, with no two days being the same.”

“Working at TT2 is incredibly rewarding and all the staff are very supportive and helpful. Working as I learn has helped me to better understand the role of a Digital Marketer and I have learned to apply my new skills to my role.”

Internal Communications Assistant – Sarah

Sarah completed her Digital Marketing Apprenticeship in May 2021, and is now TT2’s Internal Communications Assistant. Sarah’s role involves keeping staff up to date on news, creating staff wellbeing initiatives and participating in major CSR projects in 2022.

“Doing an apprenticeship is a great insight into what that area of work is like, while earning an income. As I came from a degree in a completely different subject I didn’t know if it was something I would like to pursue as a career but so far so good!”

HR Apprentice – Phoebe

Phoebe is an HR apprentice, training with Access Training until November 2022.

“I chose this apprenticeship after studying Level 2 Business Admin whilst on furlough in 2020. I was keen to work in a business setting but still be working and interacting with people.”

“I really enjoy TT2, and it is giving me a great insight into HR and how my career can progress.”
