Monday – Friday only
Post (1) working 06:45hrs – 09:30hrs (13.75hrs per week)
Post (2) working 13:00hrs – 16.00hrs (15hrs per week)
TT2 Limited, the operator of the iconic Tyne Tunnels, is looking to recruit two-day shift Tunnel Officers at its office in North Tyneside to help take the organisation through an exciting period of change and growth.We have great plans for the business and are therefore seeking exceptional individuals who can support the Customer Operations Manager in ensuring we offer a first-class service to our customers and stakeholders.
As a Tunnel Officer you’ll be helping the 55,000 customers who use the Tyne Tunnel each day to have the best experience possible. Whether it’s dealing with customer problems at the plazas, or responding to breakdowns or incidents in the tunnels, you’ll have a talent for great customer service, good communication skills, and an ability to think and make the right decisions in a busy environment. Whilst prior experience of traffic management will be helpful, you must be educated to GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) to include English and Mathematics. Ideally you will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use your own initiative and knowledge of computerised systems including MS Outlook, Excel and Word. You must hold a valid UK driving licence (LGV and trailer categories desirable).
Full training will be given to the successful candidate in the tasks which make this such a unique and rewarding role.

To attract the best candidates TT2 will offer an hourly rate of £10.31, which equates to £7392.00 (Post 1) and £8064.00 (Post 2) per annum (FTE £19,891) and membership, if required, into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
